1. Avatar is a revolutionary film as Sony originally created the Blu Ray disc for use with this movie because of the incredibly high resolution and pixel accuracy for the time. The animation of "Pandora" their Earth like secondary world is fantastic. Along with the soundtrack and storyline, this movie tops my list of movies that changed the film industry forever.
I like to listen to Alternative and Rock music so most of my favorite songs fall under that category.

These days, social media is everywhere and everything. In one day you will probably go to work (which has a Facebook), after you get your favorite coffee (from a store that has a Facebook), then you will got to a place for lunch (which has a Facebook), leave to go home and use your T.V (which has both a Facebook and the brand has a Facebook). You get the picture. Every company has a Facebook or LinkedIn, and every person has a Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or all three. Social Media has many different purposes from connecting with old friends, to getting hired at a company because of your LinkedIn. This also means that many people can see your profiles so being G rated is important.
I think that social media is going to continue to stay prevalent and even grow. I think that this will have an impact on our generations future careers as we will need to keep our profiles clean and have good work experience on our sites. We will also have to make career profiles such as LinkedIn. Another aspect of this is that some careers will be completely centered around social media and where it is going. Many companies have social media experts and their job is entirely designed to post material to their companies profiles that will attract consumers and to study which kind of media have the largest benefits of attracting consumers.
There are few things that make something look good to me like how it is formatted, does it convey the message well, and above all: is it clean and minimalistic? Here are some examples of what I think display these features.
I personally think Apple's website is an over all example of good design. This is because there is plenty of white space, but they continue to give a feeling of order. Parts of the site are located at the top of the page with clear categories. Then a slider with the main news they want the reader to focus on initially, then the minor news.
This is another good example of good design. This is a simple video intro that utilizes simple shapes and sounds to give an "eye popping" experience to put you in a good mood. I personally would have used more vibrant colors though.
This was an "Infographic" project that I made in my Digital Media class that is used to inform the reader about different coding methods for webdesign. I think it conveys good design because it is very simplistic and minimal, yet pleasing to the eye.
This is a common image style that is used to quickly communicate that a company is easily accessible from multiple platforms including computer, tablet, and smartphone. It also means that each platform is dynamic and changes based on the best view for that device/screen.
This is one of those images that is so simple but still conveys 1000 words. It is so peaceful and brings you to a place of vacation.
Thanks for reading and let me know what you think makes good design!
After reading through THIS post, I found that I will need to work on a personal logo, slogan/tagline, and image for my splash page. I also realized that I am currently using this portfolio for both freelance and professional use. I am currently employed at nuMedia Innovations as a Software Engineer Intern but as a young adult going to school, I may decide to focus on other areas of technology that would require a personal website for other purposes. My goal as a student and Intern is to learn as much as I can about all aspects of technology from software to hardware, mobile to desktop, or Apple to... not Apple.
